My new baby!

Bought a new keyboard to replace my other one, while I see if I can get it fixed. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the same one. So, I decided to try out the Filco Majestouch 2 Cherry MX Brown Switch 104 Key Mechanical Keyboard. I would love to try out more, but this seemed like a great fit. Since it seems I couldn’t find it in local stores anymore, I ordered it online from LinkeComputer. I’m quite happy with them because it arrived in a little over 24hours!

My old Ducky keyboard. ><

It was recommended by one of the top StarCraft 2 gamers in Hong Kong, CG.Fatal, and his friends. It uses the exact same Cherry Brown switches at my previous keyboard. It feels pretty much the same, though CG.Fatal says he feels a slight difference. Many people would recommend this type of switch for RTS and Action RTS games, like Dota 2 and StarCraft 2. They are also slightly less noisy than blue switches.

The only downside is it doesn’t have backlights. Besides looking cool, backlights help me quickly relocate my finger positioning if I’m playing in the dark. However, since the cable is attached to the keyboard (unlike the Ducky, which has a dettachable one), I think this one will be less likely to have complications regarding the cable and port… which is why my Ducky stopped working after a few months. =(

And to find out how it was packed in case you feel like ordering one from them (if you live here =D).

YAY! It arrived!

It arrived safely in bubble wrap. POP!

Super plain, yet functional!

I’m thinking about getting a custom keyboard with an awesome design though. =D
